Oakflat Lookout

I went on a pretty amazing camping tip to Oakflat Lookout fire tower. This is an old firetower that is not manned anymore, they now have camera attached to the tower for viewing fires. Due to this its now a campsite you can reserve. Its just under 5k ft in elevation on the top of a hill and takes by vehicle an hour to get to from the nearest town, its in the middle of nowhere.

These are some of the shots I took over the course of the weekend. I even tried a bit of night time and astrophotography for the first time. Turned out ok, I have a lot of room for improvement.

This is from the Carmel fires that were going on at the time. I took a long exposure at 15 seconds.

This is one of the many views around the tower. All sides were very similar that you could not see anything but hills.
